By Profession He is disruption business strategist from IIM Kozhikode working on various climate and environmental sustainability projects. at present he is working on Development of Green Mines, Clean Fuels including Ethanol and Compressed Bio Gas. also working for Development of Agrivoltaics Power Plants in India in Joint Collaboration of India and Japan Bilateral under JCM Carbon Financing. He is also advisory member of Department of Science & Technology’ Technical Air Resource Unit for Scientific Analysis, Management and Coordination: Clean Air Technology Unit (CATU). He Provide lead policy advisory services and strategic thinking on policy issues relating to climate change and environmental Sustainability works, particularly as they relate to the climate change negotiations. He Contribute to the development of an information and knowledge platform on climate change to facilitate access to climate change information, internal tools for sharing of information and experience and a record management of information on activities undertaken in Climate Sector Research and share knowledge-based tools, such as policy positions/practice notes/concept papers and other research papers to help influence /advance policy dialogue on climate change

She has been experienced working at IMMT, Bhubaneswar as Scientist. She has been working in Haldia Refinery, Hindustan Zinc Limited etc. With her significant contribution in waste Utilization and management, she has been honoured with • Young Scientist Award, DST, Government of India, • Prof. Arumugam National award by ISTE, India, • Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhawana Purashkar, • Prof. R.C. Tripathy young chemist award • Bigyan Jyoti Purashkar, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Odisha, • India Indonesia Iconic award in the field of Yoga and many more. To her credit she has 264 publications in peer reviewed journals of International repute, 28 patents, authorships in 14 books and monographs. Dr. J.S. Sharma

Dr. J.S. Sharma brings nearly five decades of expertise in environmental pollution prevention, control, and sustainable industrial practices. Formerly serving as Group General Manager – Head Environment at ONGC until June 2018, Dr. Sharma has led transformative initiatives in environmental stewardship within the petroleum sector.

A Post-Doctoral Fellow on Global Environmental Issues at Japan Research Development Corporation (JRDC) under the METI, Government of Japan, Dr. Sharma has also conducted research at Imperial College London. His prolific contributions include over 52 publications, 82 technical reports, and co-authorship of the seminal book “Environmental Management in Petroleum Industry” published by Wiley Eastern.

Recognized as a Resource Person for the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP), Dr. Sharma collaborated with the late Dr. A.P. Mitra to develop India’s pioneering Petroleum Sector GHG Inventories, published by CSIR–NPL.

Mr. Hitesh Vaidya

Mr. Hitesh Vaidya is an urban development expert with over 28 years of experience in urban management and development planning, holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Management and Development Planning from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies. He had worked with various national and international agencies, such as the Government of India, the UN, the World Bank, and USAID, providing policy and project support, managing programs, building capacities and training, and promoting partnerships in urban governance, infrastructure, and service delivery, with a pro-poor orientation and a focus on sustainability.Until November 2023, He was the Director of the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), a knowledge think tank of the Government of India, where He led and oversaw multiple urban development policy and project initiatives for over four years. He was part of the team that supported the design and implementation of the national urban flagship missions in India, such as Smart Cities and Atal Mission for Urban Rejuvenation and Transformation. He also contributed to assessing and selecting 100 smart cities and developing the National Urban Policy Framework for India. His aim to facilitate effective liaison and coordination among various stakeholders, institutionalize best practices, and advocate for sustainable settlements.

As Director of A.R.S. Energy Auditors, Mr. Deshpande has led over 700 energy audits, ESCO projects, and Net Zero missions across a wide range of industries. His leadership in transformative initiatives, such as the Indian Railways’ Net Zero study and the Horizon 2020 (EU-India) programs, showcases his unwavering commitment to climate action, sustainable innovation, and industrial decarbonization.
